Bishwokarma’s son files habeas corpus petition

Police detained Bishwokarma from Dakshinkali on August 7 on the charges of disturbing peace in the society and indulging in extortion.
The Home Ministry, Home Minister, Kathmandu District Court, Police Headquarters and Metropolitan Police Circle Kathmandu and its chief have been made the defendants in the petition filed by Narendra Bahadur Singh Bishwakarma, the son of the arrested Chand-led CPN spokesperson.
In his petition, he has claimed the authorities have not allowed Bishwakarma to take his medicines, displayed unpleasant behaviour by handcuffing him in public and torturing him physically and mentally.
He has claimed leader Bishwakarma’s arrested was politically motivated.
