90pc water projects completed
Sep 11, 2018-
Almost 90 percent of the drinking water projects, devastated by the 2015 earthquake in Sindhupalchok district, have been complete.
Reconstruction is underway in 10 percent of the total 691 projects which were affected by the devastating earthquake, said Laxmi Upadhyay, an engineer at the Drinking Water and Sanitation Division Office.
Among the quake-damaged drinking water projects, some need maintenance, some have to be rebuild and a few others have to be relocated.
Works have been intensified in the areas where water sources have dried up, deviated from its earlier position and new human settlements are established, according to Upadhyay.
