Sep 11, 2018-
Life in Rolpa got affected on Monday due to the protest by the Nepal Tarun Dal, Rolpa, against the murder of Rohit Pun, the Nepali Congress’ youth-wing leader. Educational institutions, market areas and industries have been closed, while traffic on long and short routes has come to a halt.
Talking to Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Narayan Regmi, secretary of the Nepal Students Union (Rolpa), said the agitation would continue until the criminal is booked. Pun was shot dead in the district on Sunday. The Tarun Dal has accused the former Maoist cadres of the murder. Meanwhile, the NC has demanded stern actions against the guilty. The NC has also expressed its concern over the lack of ‘seriousness’ on the part of police to identity and arrest the guilty.
The Congress youth wing warns to launch a nationwide agitation if the perpetrators are not caught by the law enforcement.
