The ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has assigned its respective provincial in-charge, deputy in-charge, chairperson and secretary to carry out the unification process of their respective district committees.
In a circulation issued by Prime Minister and CPN Chairman KP Sharma Oli and C0-chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the provincial leaders of the party have been instructed to organise meetings for the unification of district committees until the completion of the provincial committees.
The party leadership has also directed the provincial leaders to carry out the merger process of the respective district committees based on the party statute, regulations and directives and past recommendations.
The provincial leaders have also been entrusted with the task of unifying all the units under the district committees and merging the properties of the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre).
The UML and the Maoist Centre had merged to become the CPN on May 17 this year.
Oli and Dahal have also assigned the provincial leaders with responsibilities, such as updating party memberships, maintaining party archives, holding cadres’ assembly and mobilising the party workers in development works.
Each district committee chairperson has been advised to contact the CPN Central Secretaries in case they come across any problem at the policy level.
The CPN headquarters will soon send the criteria for those willing to enter the party CPN as the office bearers of district committees or as party members, according to the circular issued by the top two leaders.
The circular also notified about the dissolution of the task force formed for the unification of the provincial
