Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said that Nepal is expanding its relations in the international arena.
Addressing a programme organized in the Capital by Province 5 Journalists Society on Saturday on the occasion of Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals, the foreign affairs minister argued that Nepal has increased its stake in various international issues, as expressed at the recently held 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations in New York, United States.
“The participating heads of state and government as well as diplomats sought appointment with us for meeting on the sidelines of the UNGA. This shows that Nepal’s relations are expanding at the international level,” he said.
Minister Gyawali said the government led by KP Sharma Oli has improved its relations with China and India by resolving longstanding bilateral issues. He added that efforts were being made to partner with China in connectivity projects such as cross-border railway and with India in agriculture and water resources.
