Generation Next Communica-tions (GenNext), the authorised distributor for Apple in Nepal, is all set to unveil three new models of iPhones—XS, XS Max and XR, on November 23.
According to Deepak M Khanal, senior manager of Generation Next Communication, there was a massive number of inquiries from gadget enthusiasts regarding the launch of the new iPhones in Nepal. The company is expecting strong sales of the new iPhone models, with over 1,000 units already booked by customers.
GenNext typically sells around 6,000 units of iPhones within a month whenever a new model is launched in the country.
Both the iPhone XR and XS Max share many features such as a True Tone Display, wide colour display, 3D touch and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating. Both the XR and XS Max get dual optically stabilised 12 megapixel cameras, a wide angle and a telephoto.
The only major difference between the XS Max and the XS is the screen size. The XS Max sports a massive 6.5 inch Super Retina HD display while the XS comes with a smaller 5.8 inch screen. Both models will be available in three storage options: 64GB, 256GB and 512GB. Prices for the XS Max start from Rs179,000 (64GB), Rs203,000 (256GB) to Rs235,000 (512GB). Customers can pick up the XS for Rs162,000 (64GB), Rs187,000 (256GB) or Rs219,000 (512GB).
The company said that both the XS and XS Max will be available in three colour options, Space Grey, Silver and Gold. For those looking for an ‘affordable’ iPhone, the XR model will be the one to buy.
It has the same powerful processor found on the XS and XS Max, is water resistant like its elder siblings, supports wireless Qi charging among others.
The two major differences found on the XR are the screen and camera. The XR sports a 6.1 inch Liquid Retina HD LCD display while its elder siblings come with higher resolution OLED screens. The XR also comes with only one camera on its back instead of the dual camera setup found on the XS and XS Max.
According to GenNext, the XR will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options and will be priced Rs122,000, Rs130,000 and Rs146,000 respectively. Customers can choose from a variety of colours for the XR which comes in black, white, red, yellow, coral and blue colours.
With every purchase of the latest iPhones, customers will receive 2,000MB data for nine weeks.
