ConMac Exhibition 2018, a fair displaying heavy equipment, concluded on Saturday establishing a new standard in the development of Nepal’s infrastructure sector.
More than 6,000 business visitors, mainly representing the contracting community and infrastructure companies, attended the three-day event held at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, said the organiser Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). More than 150 exhibitors displayed an array of products at the fair.
“Visitors said that the exhibition had set a new benchmark for exhibitions in Nepal with its grandeur, professionalism and range of products focused on construction equipment,” CII added. “All exhibitors expressed happiness as they have received good business enquiries and have been able to meet their customers. Many also said that the expo had benefited not only the infrastructure and construction sector but also the economy as a whole in Nepal.”
ConMac Nepal 2018 is the largest infrastructure exhibition organised in Nepal by the CII in association with the Embassy of India. The participating companies said that the exhibition had been beneficial in strengthening Nepal’s infrastructure sector. “Advanced technologies and equipment are vital for rapid development.”
Arvind K Garg, chairman of ConMac 2018, stated that the three-day event was very productive, and expressed commitment to continue the cooperation from Indian businesses for the development of Nepal.
He added that he looked forward to future events after this first undertaking for the development of Nepal.
“This event will be helpful in fulfilling the government’s motto of ‘Samriddha Nepal’ with its contribution to the development of infrastructure like roads, bridges and hydropower projects.”
