There are many places in Nepal that attract hundreds of thousands tourists from all over the world. Among all these places, Pokhara tops the list. There are many who are fascinated by Pokhara’s mesmerising beauty. I am one of them. I still remember the first time I visited Pokhara. I was on a seven-day visit, and I went to every place that Pokhara is known for; but the place that touched me the most was Phewa Lake. There are many boats on Phewa Lake, and it looks very crowded. A person may find it a bit frightening while going sailing, it’s all those experiences which remain in one’s memory forever. The temple located in the middle of the lake is also very beautiful.
It is difficult to describe in words how good I felt. It was a lifelong experience for me. I have visited many other places in Nepal, but I found Pokhara incomparable. Not only the city, the people of Pokhara are also very helpful and cooperative. It was my first visit, and I was lost in every place, and there was many times when the people of Pokhara helped me. The hospitality they extended to me made me feel at home. Compared to Kathmandu, I also found Pokhara to be very clean and less crowded.
I also met a lot of foreign tourists everywhere in Pokhara. They were also touched by the hospitality. The weather in Pokhara is quite unpredictable; one moment it’s sunny and bright, and the next moment it’s raining. Only later I found that Pokhara receives the highest amount of rainfall in Nepal. We receive a large number of tourists every year, but the figure is well below what Nepal can attract. All our country needs is exposure in the world market, and good people who will welcome them with an open heart.
