West Ham hit with fine

- AFP, LONDON

Jan 24, 2019-

West Ham have been hit with a £100,000 fine by the Football Association (FA) for the supporter unrest which marred their 3-0 home defeat by Burnley last season. The club’s co-chairmen David Gold and David Sullivan had objects thrown at them in the directors’ box, while a number of supporters invaded the pitch during the match on March 10 last year. West Ham pointed the finger of blame at venue operator London Stadium 185 (LS185)—who are responsible for stewarding on matchdays.
