State did not perform as expected: Deputy PM

Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwor Pokhrel said the government could not perform as expected for lack of necessary laws and structural management.

Addressing the difficulties created by this lack of laws, Pokherel said that the government was in the works to formulate new ones soon. He has also asked for suggestions in this regard from all quarters.

 The DPM was speaking at a programme organised in the Capital on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of Deurali-Janata Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd. Pointing out that the pharmaceuticals is developing as a ‘proud’ industry, he stated that the industry should focus on creating quality products. He also added that 45 percent of the medicines used in the country are produced in Nepal.
