Ex-deputy PM Adhikari shifted to HAMS from Mediciti

Nepal Communist Party (NCP)’s ailing leader and former deputy prime minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari has been shifted to the HAMS Hospital from the Mediciti Hospital for further treatment of breathing-related complications.

According to party central member Surya Thapa, Adhikari was admitted to the Mediciti hospital on January 16 after he complained of respira-tory problems. He was shifted to the Dhumb-arahi-based HAMS with the hope of improvement in his condition.

No improvement was seen in his health during treatment at the Mediciti based in Bhainsepati, Lalitpur.

Dr Bhagawan Koirala, Dr Man Bahadur KC and Dr Arjun Karki are involved in Adhikari’s treatment. The 82-year-old was diagnosed with problems in his heart and lungs.
