Expired food items destroyed in Bhojpur

Authorities destroyed a large quantity of expired food items seized from various shops in Bhojpur Bazaar, the headquarters of Bhojpur district, on Wednesday. A team from the District Administration Office had inspected 29 shops in Bhojpur Bazaar and confiscated the food items worth nearly Rs 100,000, said Assistant Chief District Officer Upendra Neupane. The shop owners were  let off with warning. They will face punitive action if they are found selling expired food items in the future, Neupane added. (RSS)
