Mar 9, 2019-

Australia’s dual 100 metre hurdles world champion Sally Pearson has put her comeback on ice, pulling out of two races this month in a move her camp insisted was not injury-related. Pearson, who won the world title in 2011 and 2017, hasn’t competed over the hurdles in a year after battling an Achilles problem. She was due to make her first appearance in her pet event since then at the Queensland state titles in Brisbane this weekend to kick off her countdown to this year’s world championships in Doha. But

the 32-year-old, who is also the 2012 Olympic champion, has pulled out of that race and from the Queensland Track Classic on March 23. (AFP)
