The Nationwide Krishna Mohan Memorial Badminton Championships is one of the premier events of APF and will include men’s and women’s singles and doubles along with U-17 girls’ and boys’ singles. Other categories include 45 and 55 years’ veterans, mixed doubles, 35 years and above under inter-governmental services.
The winner and runner-up in the men’s singles will get Rs 60,000 and Rs 30,000 respectively. The third place finisher will get Rs 25,000 with each quarter-finalists also getting Rs 5,000 as winning bonus. The women champion will take home Rs 50,000 with the runner-up getting Rs 25,000 and second runner-up pocketing Rs 12,000.
The top three in the men’s doubles will get Rs 60,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 25,000 and the podium finishers in the women’s event will get Rs 40,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
The 13th Sahabir Memorial Open Lawn Tennis Championships include men’s and women’s singles and doubles apart from veteran in above 35, 45 and 55 years category. The top two in the men’s singles will get Rs 60,000 and Rs 30,000 with Rs 10, 000 each given to the losing semi-finalists getting Rs 10,000 apiece. Every quarter-finalist will get Rs 5,000.
The women’s singles winner will get Rs 60,000 and the runner-up Rs 30,000. The joint third place finishers will take home Rs 10,000 each. Cash prizes are also set aside in the men’s doubles with the champions and losing finalist getting Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 in both the categories.
Meanwhile, the sixth edition of the National Open Women’s Volleyball Tournament will get Rs 250,000. The second and third place finishers will get Rs 125,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. According to the organisers, the best player of the tournament will also get attractive prize.
