Nepal has requested the Chinese Railway Authority to provide fund to conduct afeasibility study for the proposed Kathmandu-Kerung railway. A decision to this end is expected be made at the fourth meeting of Nepal-China railway sometime around April next year.
The Nepal-China joint oversight mechanism is scheduled to meet in Kathmandu next week to review the status of bilateral and joint venture projects including undertakings in which Chinese companies are involved.
