Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has warned of intensifying the protest if the government failed to arrest the murderers of its Chairman Sharad Kumar Gauchan at the earliest.

Organising a press conference on Tuesday, FCAN General Secretary Ram Sharan Deuja gave deadline until tomorrow evening to the government to find the culprits.

The FCAN has warned of launching a nationwide agitation and bringing the construction works to a complete halt if the government failed to book the culprits within the given time.

Gauchan was shot dead at Om Shanti Chowk in Shantinagar of the Capital at around 3:15pm on Monday.

The incident occurred while he was heading to the FCAN office in Anamnagar via Prayag Marga in his Toyota Land Cruiser Prado (Ba 13 Cha 4948) yesterday afternoon.

Gauchan was proprietor of Danfe Construction Company Pvt Ltd which constructed the buildings of Kathmandu District Court and Rastriya Nachghar among others.
