UML, Maoist Centre unification and party registration will take place today: Oli

Speaking during a programme organised to mark the 25th Madan-Asrit Smriti Diwas, PM Oli said that the party unification will take place on this auspicious day urging all leaders and party workers to come at the City Hall in Exhibition Road to take part in a programme being organised to announce the party unification.
“For long people knew communists as ‘party that splits’. The communists forgotten about breakups, now they will unify,” said PM Oli, “We are unifying not to be oppressors but to become developers.”
CPN (MC) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, speaking briefly during the programme, said that it he who suggested that the party unification should take place on the occasion of Madan-Asrit Smriti Diwas.
According to PM and UML Chairman Oli, a meeting of Party Unification Coordination Committee will be held at 10 am followed by separate central committee meetings of both parties in their respective party offices to officially endorse the unification.
Then, a joint central committee meeting of both the parties will be held followed by the registration of new unified party at the Election Commission and later today party unification announcement will be made from the City Hall.
