Inaugurating the fifth annual ‘Kantipur Hissan Edu-Fair 2018’ at Bhrikutimandap in the Capital on Thursday, he said that government is preparing to make policies to produce human resources needed for country’s development.
He was of the opinion that the students should be provided an opportunity to study the subjects of their interest.
“None of the students will be failed if they were provided an opportunity to study the subjects of their choice,” PM Oli said.
On the occasion, he called on the community schools to lay emphasis on quality education, saying no compromise would be made with anyone on the quality of education.
He said the students of Nepal can set world records if they were given a chance to study the subjects of their choice.
Giving an example of Sandeep Lamichhane, PM Oli said Lamichhane could not have become popular if he was forced to study music or painting.
Moreover, the Prime Minister said the private educational institutions should not charge arbitrary fees just saying that they have contributed to the education development.
“The country will be developed only if the citizens get quality education. Education can only change the thought and life style of the people,” he said.
