PM Oli arrives in Beijing
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived here in Beijing on Tuesday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli arrived here in Beijing on Tuesday for an official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.
Prime Minister Oli was received at the Beijing International Airport by high ranking officials of the People’s Republic of China, and Nepali Ambassador to China Leela Mani Paudyal and Embassy officials.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Oli attended a reception hosted in his honor by the Ambassador of Nepal to China. The reception was attended by government officials, diplomats, businessmen, academicians, and media-persons of China.
Addressing the function, Oli shared his vision for further enhancing Nepal-China relations and strengthening bilateral co-operation in the areas of connectivity, trade and investment, tourism, energy and natural resources and environment.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also launched the official WeChat account of the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing and unveiled a special publication on tourism and investment opportunities of Nepal.
The PM is accompanied by his wife Radhika Shakya, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Minister for Energy, Water Resource and Irrigation Barshaman Pun, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth, Chief Adviser Bishnu Prasad Rimal, parliamentarians, high-ranking government officials, representatives of private sector and media professionals.
