Vehicular movements have come to a standstill along the East-West Highway, Siddharta Highway and Postal Highway including inner roadways in the district.
Likewise, the effects of banda can be seen in market places as shops, business centres, educational institution among others have remained closed since early morning.
Meanwhile, security agencies have recovered and defused several improvised explosive devices (IED) found scattered in various parts of the district. An IED was recovered from Tulbuliya Bridge in Sainamaina of Rupandehi along the east-west highway which was defused by Nepal Army bomb squad.
Also, on Monday night, an IED exploded at Butwal-based Indian Pension Camp causing damages to the restroom area. However, no casualties were reported in the incident, informed Area Police Office, Butwal DSP Dil Bahadur Malla.
Earlier, today morning, banda enforcers hurled a bottle of acid on a bus (Lu 1 Kha 6621) injuring one Resham Thapa, informed Area Police Office, Tillotama.
