Two women die as landslide buries house in Baglung

According to Inspector Om PrakashYadav of the Area Police Office Burtiwang, the deceased have been identified as Dhan Kumari Shahi and her daughter-in-law Daali Shahi.
Nepal Police and Nepali Army personnel with the help of locals retrieved the bodies of Dhan Kumari and Dalli from the debris. Daali’s husband is a migrant worker in India.
Dhan Kumari’s five-year-old grandson Binod, who was also buried in the landslide, was rescued alive. The health condition of the child is normal, Bohara Village Health Post Chief Top Bahadur Chand said.
The landslide has damaged six houses in Bohara Village and Devisthan.
Some families have been taking shelter at their relatives’ houses due to fear of landslide.The incident site is 120 km from district headquarters.
