The talks, held ahead of Dahal’s departure to Kathmandu, were centred on the current priorities of the Nepal government and its quest for prosperity in the face of a strong communist government, according to information posted on Dahal’s personal website. “We have many opportunities and challenges,” the website quoted as saying.
He also told the Chinese leader that the objective of his visit was to strengthen the party-to-party relations between NCP and Chinese Communist Party and two governments with the focus on implementing the past accords and agreements.
Chinese Vice President Wang, calling Dahal an old friend of China, said “he is happy to meet him again in China”, the website reported.
Dahal was scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Wednesday night after completing the five-day visit. (PR)
