Agni, the authorised distributor of Mahindra utility vehicles and tractors in Nepal, has agreed to provide Rs four million per annum for five years as the sponsor of men’s and women’s football and cricket team. As per the agreement, the football and cricket teams of the APF Club will to wear jerseys with Mahindra and Agni Group logo in all sports activities at the domestic and international level.
Sports Chief of the APF Sports Club Ram Saran Paudel and chief executive of Agni Incorporate Arjun Prasad Sharma signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Agni managing director Cabinet Shrestha handed over the dummy cheque to APF IGP Shailendra Khanal. Agni, who had been the sponsor of men’s football team of APF since 2014 to 2017, will now be the sponsor of the departmental team until 2022. In the previous sponsorship deal Agni had provided APF Rs 2.22 million per annum for four years.
