Medical personnel across the country halted all services, except emergency, for one-hour and organised various protest programmes and sit-ins, according to NMA Chairman Dr Muktiram Shrestha.
The protesters hope to put pressure on the government to act quickly and save Dr KC whose health is sinking.
Dr KC is on an indefinite hunger strike for the last 12 days in Jumla. He seeks reforms medical education sector.
Shrestha said hospital staff at Bir Hospital took part in the protest from 10-11 am while medical personnel at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital organised protest programme from 11am-12pm today.
The association warned intensifying their protests that could shut all services except emergency if the government fails to resolve the issue. (PR)
