12th Ecan fair kicks off
The 12th Ecan (Education Consultancy Association of Nepal) Fair kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Thursday.The 12th Ecan (Education Consultancy Association of Nepal) Fair kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The four-day event, which features over 220 stalls by prestigious colleges and universities from different countries, was inaugurated by Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Gyawali.
Educational fairs like Ecan has been helping thousands of youths who leave for several countries abroad in search of quality education, Minister Gyawali said. He also urged Ecan to promote Nepali education in the international market.
“I expect Ecan to also encourage our youths to return home once they complete their studies abroad,” the minister said.
More than 100 education consultancies from the country, the representatives from colleges and universities from Australia,the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, India and Europe are participating in the fair.
IDP announces scholarship to Nepali students
IDP Education, a global education service provider, has announced a scholarship programme worth $50,000 to Nepali students who want to pursue international education across English speaking countries, including Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland. In its statement IDP announced that the scholarship will be provided to 10 Nepali students selected on merit basis.
