Court hearing begins in Tikapur carnage case

Twenty-four suspects appeared before the District Court for formal hearing in the case, presided by Judge Parshuram Bhattarai.
After the accused were formally presented at the court, Judge Bhattarai ordered the plaintiff and defendants to present their witnesses at the court in the next hearing scheduled on September 9.
A charge-sheet has been filed against 56 people, including Resham Chaudhary who was elected to the federal parliament from Kailali-1, for their alleged involvement in the 2015 August incident.
The authorities has so far arrested 26 suspects. (PR)
