Education policy has to change: dahal
Nov 15, 2018-
Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Co-chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said the country needs to change its existing education policy to achieve socialism as mentioned in the constitution.
Addressing a programme organised by the Myagdi Multiple Campus in Beni on Wednesday, Dahal said the problem of educated unemployment has increased in the country due to the centralised and unitary policy adopted in the past.
“The government is preparing to bring a new policy to address the problems in the education sector,” he added.
Dahal pledged to draft an education policy to stop the brain drain, create employment, promote self-employment and produce skilled human resources for the country’s development.
“During the three days of my Myagdi stay, I found that outmigration is the main problem here. We will give attention to make policy for exploiting the local natural resources by promoting self-employment so that the people do not have to leave the district for employment,” he said.
