Four Nepali boxers feted

Former Nepali boxers currently residing in Macau feted four pugilists with a combined purse of Rs 100,000 on in Kathmandu Monday. Ex-Boxer Group of Macau gave away Rs 25,000 each to Bimala Shrestha, Punam Rawal, Diwana Sherma and Sushil Thapa. Shrestha (54kg division) and Rawal (60kg) were the bronze medallists

of first Indian International Open Boxing Championships held on February 1-7. Sherma (48kg) and Thapa (49kg) were recipient of the best boxers of the recently concluded Bir Ganeshman Singh National Champion-ships. Nepal Boxing Association President Ram Awale, former President Umesh Maskey and representatives of Ex-Boxer Group handed over the cash to the boxers. (PR)
