Two die by electrocution in Kalikot

Two people died by electrocution in Kalikot after a utility pole collapsed early on Saturday.
Keshav Thapa, 43, and Ganga Thapa, 25, were killed in the accident in Lalu of Narharinath Rural Municipality-8, said local Rohan Kumar Bista.
The settlement had received electricity lines only a month ago.
“The casualties were caused after the pole fell close to the house,” Bista said.
Pankha Bahadur Bista, a teacher at Mangalasaini Secondary School and other locals claimed that the accident was caused due to negligence while installing the electricity pole.
Acting chief at the district police office Poshan KC said a police team led by Inspector Prakash KC has been deployed for the investigation into the matter.
