Man hurt in forest fire seeks succour

Gore Bahadur Chand of Saileri VDC-5 in Dailekh, who is also the chairman of Logane Community Forest Users Group, is admitted to the Bheri Zonal Hospital in Nepalgunj. Gore’s wife Gauri said doctors in the hospital have referred Gore to Kathmandu or Lucknow in India for further treatment but they have been unable to take him there due to lack of money.

Health workers involved in Gore’s treatment said around 70 percent of his body was burnt and that his condition is serious. “Doctors said that he should be taken to Kathmandu at the earliest. But, all money I had has already been spent,” Gauri said. She said she does not have any property to sell for her husband’s treatment.
