Woman killed in Jhapa elephant attack

A woman died after she was attacked by wild elephants in Shivasatakshi Municipality-11 of Jhapa district.
A 61-year-old woman was attacked as she tried to escape from the wild tuskers that were tearing her house down at around 2:30am on Sunday.
Seriously injured in the attack, the woman breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the Damak-based AMDA Hospital, according to police.
The elephants also attacked her husband Shanti Ram Bhandari.
A total of four elephants had entered the village from a nearby forest.
