Singh expressed his belief that an all-party meeting scheduled later on the day will agree on formation of consensus government under NC President Sushil Koirala.
Speaking at a programme organised to felicitate Dalit lawmakers from Nepali Congress under the PR category, Singh said that NC would put maximum efforts to form government within the deadline given by the President.
President Ram Baran Yadav has called for the formation of a national consensus government before February 2.
"We will try our best for consensus government. If no agreement is made in this regard, process for majority government will begin from Sunday," Singh said during the programme organised by Dalit Student Union in the Capital.
