Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bamdev Gautam has clarified that he did not use state coffer while chartering helicopter during his recent visit to Arghakhanchi. DPM Gautam had used helicopter when he went to the district to inaugurate a new building of the District Police Office.

Gautam said that the helicopter expenses were covered up by his supporters and organisers of the event, claiming that he did not spend amount from the state coffer. Speaking at a programme in the Capital on Tuesday, Minister Gautam accused the media of character assassination by carrying a news report on helicopter ride.

Kantipur National Daily had recently carried a news report mentioning that DPM Gautam had used up Rs. 2 million from state coffer for his helicopter ride to Argakhanchi.

In a different note, Home Minister Gautam also claimed that hooliganism in the Capital had gone down remarkably, adding that all the hooligans across the country were now inactive.
