The Kirtipur Tourism Information Centre, in coordination with the Kirtipur Municipality, is planning to implement the decision of charging fee from tourists visiting the ancient town from the beginning of the next fiscal year.
The 19th Municipal Council of Kirtipur, has decided to collect service fee from the foreign tourists to manage and promote tourism in this area and discussion is underway to this effect, said Birendra Shakya, Secretary at the Office of Kirtipur Tourism Information Centre.
Shakya said the municipal council had decided to collect Rs. 100 per head from tourists from SAARC countries and Rs. 300 from other nations.
The Center has also running heritage trekking in course of tourism development of late. RSS
