Japanese Vice-Minister wraps up visit
Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Seiji Kihara, left for Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, completing a two-day official visit on Thursday.Ekantipur Report
During his stay in Nepal, the Japanese Vice-Minister separately called on President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and Minister for Foreign Affairs Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, and reaffirmed his country's support to Nepal's development endeavours, consolidation of democracy and constitution writing.
He also collectively met with leaders of various political parties in a reception organised in his honour by Nepali Congress vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel.
The Japanese Vice-Minister also inspected the National Tuberculosis Centre and the Kathmandu - Surya Binayak road built with Japanese assistance.
He was seen off at Tribhuvan International Airport by Japanese ambassador Masashi Ogawa and other high ranking officials at the Embassy of Japan and Under Secretary at the Northeast Asia Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rita Dhital.
