The state-owned power utility said it was compelled to increase the power cuts due to decrease in power generation.
The hydropower plants based in Bhotekoshi, Sunkoshi and Sanima with a combined capacity of 97 MW have been dysfunctional due to the massive landslide in Jure of Sindhupalchok district.
The power outage increased also because the conductor of Kusaha-Katiya transmission line has to be changed.
According to the new schedule, the public will have to face 9 hours power-cut for three days, 7.5 hours for two days and 10 hours for a day and 8.5 hours a day.
