Rautahat drub Banke 5-1, enter semi-finals

A brace from Alisa Zimba helped home team Rautahat sideline Banke 5-1 and ensure the home team progress to the last four as toppers of Group A with six points.
Zimba provided Rautahat the lead in the eight minute. Zimba cut past two defenders before firing into the net from inside the area. Nirmala KC doubled the lead in the 13th minute when she ran on to collect a pass from Mithila Kuswar and slotted home the goal.
Kuswar then joined the scoring spree with a goal of her own in the 22nd minute. Zimba then added her second goal of the match in the 47th minute. Manisha Raut completed the Rautahat scoring in the 56th minute.
Nirmala Upadhayaya pulled a goal back earlier in the 20th minute.
From Group B, Taplejung progressed to the semi-finals after Kanchanpur defeated Makwanpur 1-0, which saw Taplejung top the group. Priyanaka Rana scored the only goal of the match early in the fourth minute.
Taplejung will now take on Rautahat in the semi-finals on Saturday. Sarlahi will play Kailali and Kathmandu will face Nawalparasi on Thursday. The winner of the both the matches will advance to the semi-finals.
