Oct 21, 2014-
The top three contestants of Fanta The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal 2014, Miss Nepal (World) Subin Limbu, Miss Nepal (Earth) Prinsha Shrestha and Miss Nepal (International) Sonie Rajbhandari, will be heading abroad to compete in their designated international pageants this year. Rajbhandari, who is participating in the Miss International 2014, Japan, will be leaving for Tokyo today. Similarly, Prinsha Shrestha will be leaving for Manila, the Philippines, on October 31, to participate in Miss Earth 2014, and Limbu will be leaving for Miss World 2014, London, UK, on November 19. Miss World is scheduled to be held on December 14.
In London, Limbu will be participating in five fast-track events. Winning any one of the events will secure her a spot in the top 20. The event categories are: Beauty with a Purpose, Multimedia, Fitness/ Sports, Beach Fashion and Fashion Top Model awards.
For the Beauty with a Purpose award, Limbu will be focusing on a project involving primary- level education. She will be visiting the Far-Western region for a week and will be spending time with school children there. She intends to make education fun for the kids by introducing interactive ways of learning, making use of animation and technology. This way, she believes students will automatically want to go to school.
Miss Nepal 2013 Ishani Shrestha had won the award for Beauty with a Purpose during last year’s Miss World. She was also one of the top 10 finalists, setting a record of the first Nepali contestant to reach so far in the competition.
