The Hetauda-bound Tata Sumo (Na 1 Ja 2467) swerved off the road and fell 800 metres. According to the police, there were 10 people on board. According to District Police Office, Makwanpur, driver Kishor Shrestha of Hetauda-2, Chuda Prasad Luitel and Gita Luitel of Sitapaila in Kathmandu, Kopila Neupane Poudel of Hetauda-4 and Hom Kumari Neupane of Makwanpur-gadhi-4 lost their lives. Another deceased is yet to be identified. The injured were sent to Kathmandu for treatment. Sub-Inspector Ram Prasad Laudari said the speeding vehicle skidded at a sharp bend. In a similar accident on December 1, three passengers died and seven were injured at Sisneri-2.
