KOICA and KAAN organises talk program
KOICA and KAAN organised “Talk Program with KOICA Fellows” and “KOICA –KAAN Night 2014” at Soaltee Crown Plaza in the Capital on Friday.Ekantipur Report
Korean experts and KOICA fellows from Master programs and the selected short term courses shared their views on IT Development, Economic Development, Rural Development and Gender Development that can be applied in the given situation in Nepal.
The talk programme was followed by the annual “KOICA-KAAN Night 2014”. About 250 participants attended the program and focused on the role of KAAN activities.
During the programme, Chief Secretary Leela Mani Paudyal, delivered his congratulatory message and wished to strengthen the ties between Korea and Nepal and further stated that KOICA fellows need to implement the learned knowledge and share among other Nepalese for the development of Nepal. Poudel was the chief guest of the programme.
Similarly,Choe Yong jin, Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Nepal noted this event as one of the most favorable event to celebrate 40th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Korea and Nepal and thanked KAAN members for playing a significant role in each and every crucial part.
Since 1991, 1302 Nepalese officials have participated in KOICA’s short and long term fellowship programs including 171 officials in 2014.
