The forum will host discussions on Nepali documentaries, short movies and
independent and experimental films. It will also feature Nepali commercial films that have set benchmarks in the industry.
On January 13, the forum will screen Spirit Does Not Come Anymore—a film directed by Tsering Ritar Sherpa, which won first prize in Film South Asia in 1997—at Shilpee Theatre, Battisputali. The 38-minute-long film is often considered to be a milestone in the field of independent documentary filmmaking in Nepal.
Sherpa has been active in filmmaking for the last two decades, making both fiction and non-fiction films. His feature films Mukundo and Uma were a success both critically and commercially.
