Miss Nepal 2015, bigger than ever

The commencement of the 20th edition of the Miss Nepal pageant titled Fanta The Hidden Treasure Miss Nepal—2015, co-sponsored by Gionee, was announced on Sunday by Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati, Chairman of The Hidden Treasure during an event held at Hotel Annapurna, Durbarmarg. The hotel is the hospitality partner of this year’s pageant.

The auditions to find the contest’s finalists will be held at five major cities: Kathmandu, Biratnagar, Chitwan, Butwal and Pokhara.

Announcements for the cash prize for the winners were also made during the press conference. Fanta Miss Nepal World will win the prize money of Rs 100,000, Fanta Miss Nepal Earth will receive Rs 60,000  and Fanta Miss Nepal International will be getting Rs 40,000.

The sub-titles of this year’s pageant are The Kathmandu Post Miss Intellect, Fanta Miss Bubbly, Hyundai Miss Friendship, Berger Miss Talent, Ganapati Miss hotogenic, Alfa Beta Miss Scholar of the

year, Miss GOSH Girl 2015 and Gionee The Popular Choice Award. All the sub-title winners will be awarded with Rs 15,000 each.

“Miss Nepal is a national product with an international image and The Hidden Treasure is fully aware of its added responsibilities. The training this year will focus on the issues of wildlife and nature conservation, and violence against women,” says Kakshapati. “This year’s finale will be different. We’re moving out of a closed hall and doing it in the open,” he added.

This year, the gala event will be held in the garden area of the Hotel Annapurna premises on April 17.
