Westerly wind, vapour from Arab Sea causes rainfall across nation
Rains lashed most parts of the country on Monday due to the effects of westerly wind and vapour-filled wind from the Arab Sea.According to Samir Shrestha, Meteorologist at the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the rainfall is the result of the wind from Arab Sea containing vapour and some local factors.
Meteorologist Shrestha told RSS that the rainfall is expected to cause snowfall in upper parts of the country and lightening in some other places.
"The air blown from the west has shrouded all over the country," said meteorologist Shrestha, adding that weather is expected to be clear from Tuesday evening as the westerly wind is gradually moving towards the East.
Although the rain poured in various places in the western region of the country from this morning, the Capital valley and places in the eastern region witnessed incessant shower this afternoon, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division. RSS
