According to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Morang, Prabhu Prasad Dhakal, the 20 intern doctors have been kept at the District Police Office. They launched the agitation after the medical college did not provide minimum wages to them and return their deposit amount.

Dhakal said the intern doctors were arrested after they tried to close the emergency and OPD services and attack police.

However, the intern doctors blamed that the police arrested them under the pressure of college operators.

The agitating intern doctors had tried to close the OPD service saying their demands were not addressed. RSS
