Weatherpersons have warned people living in Tarai districts especially in the Far-Western region along with some parts of Mid-Western regions of flooding and landslides from heavy rains.Releasing a special weather outlook on Thursday morning, the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) stated that a rain producing system is concentrated in Terai and Siwalik range of the Far-Western region including Kailali and Kanchanpur along with Banke and Bardiya districts in Mid-Western region bringing heavy thundershowers.
"The active monsoon phenomenon since Wednesday night has brought rains in many places across the country. In particular, river basins originating from Chure and Mahabarat range are vulnerable to induce flooding and landslides from heavy rains," said Subash Rimal, a meteorologist at MFD.
