In his statement, Gautam mentioned that “he had heard that a large number of intruders from the south” had entered Gaur, Rautahat.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae, in a meeting with Home Minister Gautam on Tuesday, expressed the Embassy’s concern about Gautam's remarks and unsubstantiated statements that could cause misunderstandings and distort perceptions about the cordial and friendly relations between the two countries.
Following the meeting, Ambassador Rae said that India was shocked by the latest incidents occurred in different places in Nepal and ensured not to permit the misuse of the border.
