Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF) Koshraj Onta has postponed his trip to South Sudan just hours before his scheduled flight on Sunday.
A senior security source confirmed the cancellation of Onta's trip although the APF spokesperson was not available to comment on the cancellation immediately.
Senior security officials had expressed their dismay over APF chief's extended visit while 'Nepal is burning'.
The Kathmandu Post Online had earlier reported on Onta's visit to South-Sudan at a time when the security situation has remained tense for over a week and curfews has been imposed in nearly half a dozen places in the southern part of the country.
