A mob during the ongoing protests, a few days back, had completely demolished the statue of late Koirala.
Serious attention has been drawn of the party over series of protests and strikes in several parts of the country that have ultimately given pain and suffering to the people, said the party in a statement, adding that in this course some protestors have demolished the statue of former PM, a towering figure in Nepali politics and leader who contributed for a federal, republic Nepal.
Such undemocratic act has really saddened the party and supporters of democracy, said the party.
In the name of so called protests and strikes, some activities were targeted against the NC leaders and party office in various districts including in Dhanusha, the party added.
Some protesters had vandalised NC party offices and houses of NC leaders Ananda Prasad Dhungana and Ram Krishna Yadav, among others. The party also called to hold peaceful activities while putting forth demands.
