Sadbhawana Party General Secretary Manish Kumar Suman said the Morcha would not sit for talks unless their other preconditions—recalling the Army mobilised in Tarai districts, granting Martyr’s status to those killed in Tarai protests along with free treatment to those injured and implementing the past agreements—were met.
"Leaders of the big three political parties talk about halting the constitution process and holding dialogue from Kathmandu. But our friends are being killed in districts three hours after the talks invitation,” said SP Suman. “We can’t sit for talks under these circumstances. The decision to appeal for talks from top level while deploying army on the ground.”
Saying that the major three parties have not given a clear position regarding their demands, the Sabhawana Party leader alleged that the invitation for talks are intended to disturb the environment of talks rather than creating it.
“The government and the four parties have not come up with a clear proposal on holding talks,” said a leader of Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal. He said the proposal was brought to deceive the Madhesi people. He added that the proposal is just a ploy to appease the leaders of Madhesi and Tharu leaders of major political parties.
