NC lawmaker Surendra Prasad Chaudary, who is leading the campaign inside the party on behalf of Madhes-Tarai belt, dispatched letters to India, China, US, UN, EU and United Kingdom.
One particular interest group is imposing the constitution in a syndicate way, the letter said, adding a huge chunk of Nepali people have been left behind in this process.
Unarmed people are being killed on a daily basis and the state has shown extreme
apathy towards the demands of the agitating Madhesis and Tharus, the letter said, stating that the constitution drafting process is also part of nation building where participation of all communities and people must be ensured.
Constitution promulgated through the majority votes may be legitimate but it cannot serve the interest of the people and will be disowned by a large section of the society, the letter said.
The lawmakers have also said that ruling parties are going to start another civil war in the country due to syndicate of some political elites.
The civil society, Madhesis, Tharus and Janajatis are in the street and it has created a condition of confrontation, the lawmakers have stated, urging the international
community to be serious and heed the demands raised by various communities.
